Preview: UR Global archery lesson

Having recently seen “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2”, I think Katniss Everdeen is cooler than ever. Who doesn’t want to be able to handle bow and arrows the way she does? Well, now you have the chance to learn! UR Global, with members from the Purdue Archery Club, will give a free archery lesson for international students.

♦ What? Free archery lesson
♦ Who? For first-year international students living on campus
♦ When? Feb. 12, 6:15 p.m.
♦ Where? Meet at Wiley Hall
♦ How? Register in advance

In the class, you will learn basic bow and arrow techniques. I will definitely be there; the archery skills I learned one summer working on the Canary Islands as a tourist entertainer are long gone. I hope to see you there!

UR Global is a program for first-year international students living on campus. They put on different events throughout the semester, and it is a great way to meet other international students.

International movie night, Hawaiian luau celebration, and a trip to Chicago are some of the events that will take place in the spring. On UR Global’s Facebook page, you can find all the events they have planned, and how to register for them.
